## How care works from Garrett County

Your first session, and usually every session after it, can happen by secure video from home. You need a private room and a phone, tablet or computer with a camera. If home isn’t private, some people use a parked car or a closed office during a lunch break.

Our closest office is in Bethesda, more than three hours away by car. We don’t expect anyone to make that drive for a weekly session. If you ever want to meet a provider in person, you can plan a visit to Bethesda, but it’s never required.

## Care for Garrett County families

Garrett County, in Maryland’s western mountains, is a federally designated high-needs mental health shortage area. Our Bethesda office is roughly three hours or more away by car, so families here mostly use telehealth for therapy and medication management.

Our Bethesda office is about 146–172 miles from Oakland and nearby towns, so most Garrett County families see us by telehealth. Therapy and psychiatric visits, including evaluations, can happen from home.
